Family Information
This page contains basic information which the family members and/or social workers of Paradise House residents may find useful.
We like to work collaboratively with family members and social workers to ensure that all our residents receive the best possible care at all times. We aim to remain in contact on a regular basis and we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
Please contact the office (Tel: 01453 837 557) if you would like further information about our current visiting arrangements.
The Care Quality Commission (‘CQC’) is responsible for regulating and inspecting the quality of service at Paradise House.
The most recent CQC inspection was carried out in March 2019. Following that inspection, Paradise House was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ for the quality of care and ‘Good’ in all other inspection categories, resulting in an overall rating of ‘Good’.

The health, safety and welfare of our residents and staff is of crucial importance. With that in mind, we are carefully following local and national guidance on measures to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19.
For further details of the current arrangements, please contact the office (Tel: 01453 837 557).
We welcome all forms of feedback, comments and suggestions and will be happy to discuss any issues or concerns that you have.
If any of our residents, their family members or other interested parties wish to make a complaint, we will ensure that it is taken seriously, dealt with promptly and treated in full confidence. A copy of our Complaints Procedure is available on request from the Registered Manager.
Paradise House has numerous policies and procedures covering a range of issues including health and safety, administration of medication, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and safeguarding. Copies of all policies are available on request.
We offer structured systemic family work sessions in order to support our families to discuss and work through difficulties in their relationships with each other.
Sessions provide family members with an opportunity to talk to each other with the aim of helping them to understand each other better, change negative behaviours and resolve conflicts. We have found that this has had a positive impact on family relationships and has resulted in an increase in the level and quality of contact between many our residents and their families. For further information please contact Tom Mackie (Registered Manager).
We also hold an annual open day each summer when families can come together and meet our staff and other families and try out some of the activities on offer at Paradise House.
